What we're writing for

We have fast streams so why not try a slow stream?

"The Slow philosophy is not about doing everything at a snail’s pace. It’s about seeking to do everything at the right speed. Savoring the hours and minutes rather than just counting them. Doing everything as well as possible, instead of as fast as possible"

Carl Honoré, In Praise of Slowness

What is this all about?

This website is a project started by two friends, who think about things in a similar way. It can be summed up in 3 ways.

1. Hopefully imparting some of our thoughts on university, education, and just good old fashioned living

2. Challenging expectations

3. Providing an open and honest blog, and perhaps a platform for discussion, thought and connectedness. After all, we're all on the same team.

Keep it real. Stay Slow.

Simon lives in London but comes from the countryside.  He's felt the need to explore aspects of slowness himself, so going with a DIY approach he decided to enlist Joe and create something to help. Simon's current favorite thing is wizards.

Joe lives in London and likes running up the hills north of the river. He started writing this blog with Simon because he wasn’t happy with the career advice he had been given. He didn’t want to get good at psychometric testing, nor did he want to fill in question six of TFL’s graduate application form. He was lucky enough to have alternative careers advice that led him down a different path. Joe's current favorite thing is pan-gargle galactic blasters.
